Seedance 2.0 vs Google Veo 3.1
Two premium options with native audio. They differ on clip length, reference inputs, resolution tiers and how renders are metered.
The short version
Seedance 2.0 renders 4 to 15 seconds across 480p, 720p, 1080p, 4K tiers, and an 8 second vertical clip at 720p costs 320 credits. Google Veo 3.1 renders a fixed 8 seconds at 720p and 4K and costs 1000 credits at 720p.
Seedance also accepts reference images, videos and up to 3 reference audio clips, while Google Veo 3.1 takes first and last frame images and image references. Seedance renders count against a separate allowance included with each paid plan, and Google Veo 3.1 draws on credits alone.

When to pick Seedance 2.0
Pick Seedance 2.0 when you want motion-forward scenes, flexible length and a lower credit cost at 720p. A 480p tier at 200 credits for 8 seconds makes concept checks cheap.
It is the model to try when you have reference video or reference audio to guide the result, as long as you have allowance left for the cycle.
Ready-made starting points are in the Seedance 2.0 prompt guide.
When to pick Google Veo 3.1
Pick Google Veo 3.1 when you want a single 8 second clip with dialogue and need no allowance management. Every render draws on credits, so planning is a matter of the credit balance.
It is a fit for image-led briefs: pin a first and last frame to your product images, and describe only the movement in between.
Ready-made starting points are in the Google Veo 3.1 prompt guide.
Using both models
Use Seedance 2.0 for the scenes where motion carries the idea and Google Veo 3.1 for the spoken-line ads that sit on a product frame. Both appear in the generator model list, so you can run the same brief on each and compare.
Seedance 2.0 renders count against a separate Seedance allowance on your plan in addition to credits. Google Veo 3.1 renders draw on credits only.
