Does TikTok Show Who Viewed Your Video?
TikTok changes features the way founders change roadmaps - fast, and usually without asking you first.
There used to be a version of the app where you could see which users visited your profile. That trained people to expect a viewer list everywhere. Then TikTok pulled it.
So if you’re trying to figure out who’s watching your videos (or you’re hoping your viewing habits stay private), here’s the reality in 2026 and what you can actually measure inside the app.
The short answer
TikTok does not show you who viewed your video.
You can see:
- How many times a video was viewed
- Who liked it
- Who commented
- Who stitched or dueted it
But you can’t see a list of viewers like you can on Snapchat or Instagram Stories.
Does TikTok show who viewed your video?
In short: no.
TikTok no longer has the feature that lets you see which accounts viewed your videos. That’s annoying if you’re trying to do manual outreach, but it also means your own lurking stays private.
Is it possible to see who viewed your TikTok videos?
Not directly.
TikTok gives you counts, not names. The closest thing to “who watched” is “who interacted”:
- Comments show up publicly on the video and in notifications
- Stitches and duets show up in your Activity tab and your notification panel
That’s the tradeoff TikTok made: privacy for viewers, less intel for creators.
Seeing TikTok video view counts
You can see how many views each TikTok has. Here’s how:
- Open up the TikTok app
- Tap the Me icon, found in the bottom right corner next to the notifications tab. You will be taken to your TikTok profile menu.
- In this section, you will be able to see the number of views that each of your videos has received. You will not receive a notification every time one of your videos is viewed, so checking your profile is the only way to see if your views are increasing.
Your profile page is also where TikTok stuffs a bunch of important controls:
- Customize your profile
- View all of the TikTok users that follow you
- Create videos
- Change your user icon and username
- Select privacy options
- Turn your profile into a private account
If you make your account private, anyone who isn’t an approved follower can’t view your videos.
TikTok account analytics
If you want more than just view counts, TikTok analytics is the next step. This is the same general idea you’ll see on other social media platforms like Instagram: aggregate performance data, not individual viewer identity.
This is the process:
- As before, press the Me button, found at the bottom right corner. You will be taken to your profile.
- Press the three dots at the top-right corner of the profile screen to see your user settings.
- Look for the Creator Tools button in this menu, and press it.
- Press the Analytics button.
- You are going to need to turn on analytics if you have not before. This is done by pressing the Turn On button on the analytics page.
What you get: a dashboard that helps you understand your account at a higher level. Think totals, trends, and audience info - not a list of specific people watching a specific video.
Controlling who sees your TikTok account
If you don’t want random people watching your stuff, don’t overthink it. Make the account private.
Here’s how:
- Start by pressing the Me button, found at the bottom-right corner.
- Tap the three dots in the top right corner. This is the Settings and Privacy menu. You’ll want to go to the Privacy section.
- When you are on this tab, press the switch that says Private account.
With a private account:
- You approve or reject follow requests
- You control who can message you privately
- Your icon, bio, and username are still visible to other accounts
If there’s one person you never want seeing your videos again, block them:
- Tap the Menu icon at the top
- Press the Block button at the bottom of the menu
Are TikTok app analytics useful?
Yes. Not because they tell you who watched, but because they tell you what’s working.
If you’re a small creator, analytics helps you spot patterns:
- Which videos are frequently viewed
- What kind of content does well on your profile
- How your account is trending over time
Other apps give you similar tools too, like Facebook and Instagram.
The practical upside is you don’t need a third-party site just to understand performance. You can see it inside TikTok, which is faster and less annoying.
If you’re running TikTok as a growth channel for a brand, you’ll usually pair analytics with a system for producing more winning creatives. That’s the whole point of EzUGC - generate UGC style ads and iterate quickly without turning every new concept into a multi-week production project.

Can you see who has viewed your profile?
Unfortunately, you cannot see all the users or any individual users who have visited your profile.
And honestly, that’s probably intentional. If TikTok showed profile viewers, people would stop clicking around. Everyone “researches” other accounts. Nobody wants that activity logged and broadcast back.
If you’re looking to expand your marketing efforts with TikTok, you’ll want a steady pipeline of ad creatives you can test and rotate. If you’d rather generate UGC style videos faster, EzUGC is built for that.
Can you look at someone’s TikTok without them knowing?
Yes - you can view anyone’s public videos on TikTok any number of times without them knowing, as long as you do not interact with the video.
If you want to stay anonymous:
- Don’t like the video
- Don’t comment
Liking or commenting triggers a notification with your username, icon, and (for comments) the content of your comment.
You can also save a video without the poster knowing by pressing and holding on the screen or tapping the share button at the bottom right of the video.
Does TikTok show who liked your video?
Yes.
When someone likes your video, TikTok sends a notification. You’ll be able to see the person’s username and profile picture. You can view each individual by pressing the notification icon in the app.
